Almut Dubischar, MA, MEd, LPC

Counselor

Almut is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background in nursing and psychology and 30 years of experience in the field. She has a Masters of Arts (MA) in Psychology and a Masters of Education (MEd) in Counseling Psychology. Since relocating from Germany to the United States in 2008, she has worked in a variety of mental health capacities including partial hospitalization, assertive community treatment, and outpatient psychiatric services.

Specializing in helping to navigate transitions, Almut provides life-changing counseling support as individuals adjust to new realities caused by foreseen or unforeseen life events. These might include the birth of a child, divorce, death, losing a job, adjusting to a new job, retirement, or immigration – just to list a few. Other areas of expertise include counseling clients with family or relationship problems, chronic illness, and other medical issues as well as individuals struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, or other emotional problems.

Almut works as a counselor for EAP and at her own private practice in the Lehigh Valley.
